Mr. Sunshine

Set during the late 19th and early 20th century, Mr. Sunshine follows the journey of Eugene Choi (played by Lee Byung Hun), a Korean boy who escapes to America after a traumatic childhood only to return to his homeland as a U.S. Marine officer. Tasked with diplomatic missions, Eugene finds himself drawn into Korea’s turbulent struggle for independence, a cause that resonates deeply with his own past. Amidst the political turmoil, Eugene encounters Go Ae Sin (portrayed by Kim Tae Ri), an aristocratic young woman secretly dedicated to the independence movement.
