Discover Asian World is written and run by two people. Not a network, not an agency, not a content farm with a rotating byline. Two people who have been watching Asian drama and cinema for years, who cook the food, read the folklore and have travelled to a good deal of the places the shows keep returning to, and who got tired of looking a title up across four sites to find out how many episodes it had.

Who does what

• Editor. Decides what is covered, writes the guides and features, checks every claim about a person against its source, and answers corrections and takedown notices.
• Archive and product. Builds and maintains the database, the record fields, the browse pages and the site itself, and keeps the counts and the ratings honest.

Both read everything before it is published. There is no third person, no freelance pool and no queue of guest writers, which is the point: every page here was written by one of two people who can be asked about it.

Why the names are not on this page

This is a small independent site covering public figures, and the two people behind it would rather not have their own names indexed alongside every profile they write. That is a privacy choice, not a way of avoiding responsibility. Everything that responsibility normally buys you is here: one address that reaches a person, a stated response time, a published corrections procedure, and a takedown route with a deadline on it.

Nobody here pretends to be somebody else. There are no invented bylines, no stock photograph staff, no fictional Korean editor and no claimed insider access. If you need to reach a named person for a legal matter, write to the address below and you will get one.

What we are not

• Not affiliated with, endorsed by or authorised by any studio, broadcaster, streaming platform, agency, label or artist
• Not a news outlet with wire access. We compile and we write, we do not break stories.
• Not a place to watch anything. The archive says where a title is available legally and nothing more.
• Not open to guest posts, sponsored articles or link placement

How the site is paid for

Advertising, through Google AdSense. No affiliate programme is live at the time of writing. What that money can and cannot buy is set out on the advertising disclosure, and the short version is that it buys space on the page and nothing on it.

The rules the archive is written under are on the editorial policy: everything sourced, nothing invented, private life left alone, and numbers counted rather than claimed. The corrections policy says what happens when we get something wrong, which we do.
