The Unbeatables

The Unbeatables (双天至尊) is a 1993 Singaporean drama set on the fictional Coral Island, built around the long-standing rivalry between two families and the men at the head of each. Li Nanxing and Chen Shucheng lead the cast as the central rivals, alongside Zhu Houren, Hong Huifang, Cassandra See, and a young Zoe Tay in one of her earliest television roles.

The series is remembered as one of Singapore television's first gambling dramas, with the card table serving as the arena where the two families work out their animosity. Across twenty episodes, the show won Most Popular Drama Serial at the 1994 Star Awards, and it marked an early, career-shaping credit for several of the actors involved, Li Nanxing and Zoe Tay among them.

The show's popularity carried it well beyond its first run: a second season, The Unbeatables II, followed in 1996, and a third, The Unbeatables III, in 2002, stretching the Coral Island rivalry across nearly a decade of Singaporean prime-time television.
