The Victims’ Game
Synopsis
Forensic scientist Fang Yi-jen, who has Asperger syndrome and reads evidence better than people, finds his estranged daughter Chiang Hsiao-meng's fingerprint at a crime scene. Working with journalist Hsu Hai-yin, who wants the story as much as he wants the truth, he follows a chain of deaths that were staged to be read in a particular order, each one pointing toward the next.
The investigation, led by detective Chao Cheng-kuan, keeps circling back to Fang Yi-jen's own daughter, forcing him to work out how far she is involved in a case that keeps looking less like a string of murders and more like something closer to a plan.
The Victims' Game starred Joseph Chang as Fang Yi-jen and Hsu Wei-ning as Hsu Hai-yin, with Shih-hsien Wang, Moon Lee, Ruby Lin, and River Huang in supporting roles. The Taiwanese series premiered on Netflix in 2020, with a second season following in 2024.
