Synopsis
Warrior Baek Dong-soo (2011) is a historical martial arts drama set during the Joseon dynasty, loosely inspired by the real-life swordsman credited with compiling Korea's martial arts manual. The story follows Baek Dong-soo (Ji Chang-wook), a carefree but gifted young swordsman who trains under Kim Gwang-taek (Jun Kwang-ryul), regarded as the greatest swordmaster of his era.
Dong-soo's closest childhood friend is Yeo Woon (Yoo Seung-ho), whose path diverges sharply from his own when Woon is drawn into Heuksa Chorong, a shadowy assassins' guild led by the ruthless Chun (Choi Min-soo). As political factions maneuver for power around the throne, the two former friends find themselves pulled to opposite sides of a brewing conflict.
