My Annoying Brother
Synopsis
My Annoying Brother (2016) stars Jo Jung-suk as Go Doo-shik, a once-promising judo athlete who lost his sight in an accident just before the Paralympics and now scrapes by giving self-defense lessons. His life is upended when his younger brother, Go Doo-young (Doh Kyung-soo), is released early from prison, officially to act as his brother's guide and training partner ahead of a comeback competition.
The two brothers share a deeply strained relationship: resentful, sarcastic, and quick to bicker, neither is thrilled about being forced back together. Doo-young sees the arrangement as little more than a way to shorten his sentence, while Doo-shik struggles to trust the brother who has repeatedly let him down.
As they train together for Doo-shik's return to judo, old wounds slowly begin to heal, and the brothers rediscover the bond they once had. Blending comedy with heartfelt family drama, the film follows their bumpy journey toward forgiveness, responsibility, and second chances.
