Synopsis
My Demon (마이 데몬) brings together Do Do-hee, a haughty, tightly controlled heiress to a conglomerate family, and Jeong Gu-won, a 200-year-old demon who has lived among humans for centuries by collecting souls through contracts. When Gu-won's demonic powers are suddenly sealed away by a mysterious attacker, he needs Do-hee's help to reverse it, and the two agree to a contract marriage that suits both of their needs: he gets protection and access to what caused his power loss, and she gets a convenient shield against a hostile family power struggle.
As they spend more time playing the part of a married couple, the wary, emotionally guarded pair begin to develop real feelings for one another, even as both recognize how dangerous that attachment could become — for a demon who is meant to remain detached from humans, and for an heiress whose enemies would use any vulnerability against her. Running alongside the present-day story is a Joseon-era subplot involving a courtesan named Wolsim and a young nobleman, Seo Yi-sun, whose doomed romance mirrors and eventually explains the deeper roots of Do-hee and Gu-won's connection.
Kim You-jung stars in the dual role of Do-hee and Wolsim opposite Song Kang as Gu-won and Seo Yi-sun, with Lee Sang-yi, Kim Hae-sook, and Jo Hye-joo in supporting roles.
