Song Kang’s next drama is MBC’s White Scandal, opposite Kim So Hyun, confirmed on 25 August 2026. Until then he is on air in tvN’s Four Hands, Two Sonatas, his first series since leaving the army, which hit a new high of 7.9 percent on 20 September and is listed to end on 4 October.

Four Hands, Two Sonatas is on tvN now

The music drama premiered on 29 August 2026. It airs on Saturdays and Sundays at 9.10 p.m. KST and streams on TVING in Korea and on Netflix worldwide. Song Kang plays Kang Bi O, an elite pianist whose friendship with a gifted rival, Choi Jeong Yo, starts at an arts high school, and the story follows the two from seventeen into their late twenties. Lee Jun Young plays Jeong Yo and Jang Gyu Ri plays Hong Jae In, a viola student.

At the first script reading, he said, his hands were shaking: it was his first in a long time. Its Korean title, 포핸즈, is simply Four Hands, the name it went by in early reports.

The premiere opened at 3.4 percent nationwide. The episode of 13 September reached 7.3 percent, and the one on 20 September climbed to 7.9 percent, the show’s best so far and first in its time slot.

White Scandal is next: what MBC confirmed

MBC announced on 25 August 2026 that Song Kang and Kim So Hyun would lead White Scandal, a Friday and Saturday romance directed by Kim Cheol Gyu and written by Kim Ga Eun. He plays Dan Yi Hyuk, one of Korea’s top actors and a third-generation chaebol heir who was born outside the marriage and has hidden it since childhood. She plays Ji Eun Seol, a former child actor whose career fell apart after an incident and who now works as a manager. The two start a fake relationship to fool the public and use it to work through wounds from their pasts.

It puts the two leads of Love Alarm back on screen together. Filming was due to start shortly after the announcement.

MBC has not said. MyDramaList lists it for 2027 with twelve episodes, but neither the year nor the episode count has come from the broadcaster or from Song Kang’s agency.
