My Lovely Sam Soon
Synopsis
Kim Sam-soon is a 30-year-old pastry chef who gets dumped on Christmas Eve and loses her job in the same stretch of bad luck. She's hired almost on a whim by Hyun Jin-heon, the younger owner of an upscale French restaurant who recognizes her baking talent even as the two clash immediately over his brusque management style.
Their antagonism cools into something else after Jin-heon proposes a fake dating arrangement, mostly to keep his family off his back about marriage, in exchange for helping Sam-soon financially. The arrangement gets complicated when Jin-heon's ex-girlfriend, Yoo Hee-jin, returns from the United States, and Dr. Henry Kim, her attending physician, becomes tangled in the triangle that follows.
My Lovely Sam Soon aired on MBC from June 1 to July 21, 2005, on Wednesdays and Thursdays, led by Kim Sun-a and Hyun Bin as Sam-soon and Jin-heon, with Jung Ryeo-won and Daniel Henney rounding out the main cast.
