The Snow Queen
Synopsis
Han Tae-woong, a math genius, saves a girl from being bullied in school and the two exchange a promise to meet again someday. Not long after, his best friend's death by suicide sends Tae-woong into a downward spiral, and he disappears from the life he knew for eight years.
When he resurfaces, Tae-woong, now going by Han Deuk-gu, has become a boxer, and he's hired as a driver for Kim Bo-ra, a wealthy but guarded young woman living with an incurable illness. As the two grow close, they realize their paths crossed once before: Bo-ra was the girl he protected years ago, and her brother was the friend whose death sent him away.
With Seo Geon-ho and Lee Seung-ri caught in the pull between them, Tae-woong and Bo-ra work through the guilt and grief tied to their shared past, each helping the other find a way back to something like happiness. The Snow Queen aired on KBS2 from November 13, 2006 to January 8, 2007, on Mondays and Tuesdays, starring Hyun Bin and Sung Yu-ri.
