Unlock My Boss
Synopsis
Based on a webtoon, the drama follows Jin In Seong, a 29-year-old job seeker who has struggled to land steady work, and Choi Seon Joo, a 39-year-old CEO known for his sharp mind and cold management style. When Seon Joo dies unexpectedly under suspicious circumstances, his consciousness is transferred into a smartphone rather than passing on.
In Seong picks up the phone without knowing what it holds, and the two are thrown into an uneasy partnership: Seon Joo needs someone mobile and willing to act as his hands and voice in the outside world, while In Seong needs the income and direction the arrangement offers. Their first shared goal is finding out who killed Seon Joo and why, pulling In Seong into the company Seon Joo used to run and into conflicts he has no experience navigating.
As the investigation moves through Seon Joo's old office, the show follows In Seong adjusting to a workplace built around a boss only he can hear, while Seon Joo watches people he once trusted from a position where he can no longer confront them directly. The mismatched pair's search for the killer gradually uncovers the ambitions and rivalries inside the company that Seon Joo missed while he was alive.
