You’re Beautiful
Synopsis
Ko Mi-nyeo, who is training to become a nun, gets pulled into disguising herself as her twin brother when his manager asks her to take his place in the band A.N.JELL while he recovers from surgery abroad. The one-month favor stretches on indefinitely as she keeps performing with the band under her brother's identity, and the deception pulls her into complicated relationships with the other members while a connection between her mother's past and lead vocalist Hwang Tae-kyung's own history slowly comes into view.
Tae-kyung starts out treating the newcomer with open suspicion, and bassist Kang Shin-woo and drummer Jeremy each end up drawn to "him" in their own way before they learn the truth, turning the band's dynamic into as much of a story as the music itself.
You're Beautiful starred Park Shin-hye as Ko Mi-nyeo, with Jang Keun-suk, Jung Yong-hwa, and Lee Hong-gi as her bandmates in A.N.JELL. The 16-episode series aired on SBS in 2009.
