John Park’s Psst!: Bluff, the album, and what came after

John Park released “Bluff” on 9 October 2024, the last of three songs put out ahead of Psst!, his second full-length album. Psst! followed on 30 October 2024 with 11 tracks and the title track “Like a Dream”, eleven years after his first album, Inner Child.

What the album title means

“Psst” is the sound of someone about to whisper. Park said at release that he made the album hoping listeners would share the thoughts and feelings they usually keep hidden, and listen for stories they had not heard before.

John Park songs since Psst!

On 21 December 2025 he sang “Fine”, the third soundtrack release for the tvN weekend drama Pro Bono, a cinematic pop song with bright brass, composed by the drama’s music director, Park Sung Il. That same month he gave a solo concert titled Like a Dream.

“Summer Returns” (여름은 돌아와) followed on 23 July 2026. He wrote, composed and arranged it himself, and described it as funky soul pop with a retro feel.

The Break! concerts in September 2026

From 11 to 13 September 2026 he played three nights of a show called Break! at Blue Square Woori WON Banking Hall in Seoul, and every seat was sold. The set ran about two hours with a full band. It included “Bluff” and “Summer Returns”, mashups with aespa’s “Whiplash” and RESCENE’s “Love Attack”, and an unreleased song, “Break”, written for these dates. NC Press, reviewing it, called it a departure from his usual calm image.

Days later he told Sports Kyunghyang that he had just come back from time in New York and seriously wants to rap, naming Eminem’s “Sing for the Moment” as the song that got to him in middle school. No date has been given for any hip-hop release.
