Synopsis
Love in Disguise is a tvN romance thriller that premieres on 19 October 2026 in the network's Monday and Tuesday 8:50 pm slot. It is adapted from Why Don't You Know She's a Woman?, a story published on Kakao as a web novel and a webtoon, and mixes office romance and comedy with a murder investigation.
Yoon Yi-jun (Yim Si Wan) is the arrogant third-generation heir of Tae Gang Group, and he has become a suspect in a murder. Kang Jae-hee (Seol In Ah) is the detective assigned to find out whether he did it. She is a former special forces officer, and Soompi reported that she holds black belts across several martial arts.
Her way in is a disguise. Jae-hee poses as a man and takes a job as Yi-jun's secretary, which puts her inside both his company and his home. The first poster shows the two of them joined by a single pair of handcuffs, and tvN's promotion says the working relationship slowly turns into feelings neither of them can admit.
Two more people around Yi-jun have their own secrets. Kim Si-hyun (Kim Jung Hyun) is a lawyer on the group's legal team and Yi-jun's close friend, described by Soompi as a sly man who looks after his boss while hiding his true feelings. Lee Hye-jung (Yeonwoo) is the chairman's secretary, known for her striking looks, sharp skills and careful manner.
Park Dan-hee directs from a script by Moon Soo-jeong. The script reading took place on 4 September 2026. Ryu Seung Soo, Park Jun Myun and Jung Yoo Min are in the supporting cast.

Themes and messages
Suspicion as the starting point. The romance begins as an investigation: Jae-hee takes the job to prove or disprove that her boss is a killer, and the handcuff poster makes that tension the show's image.
A woman hiding in plain sight. Jae-hee's disguise as a male secretary is the comic engine, and Soompi noted that she has to fight in character while keeping it up.
Everyone has a secret. tvN introduced the second leads, a loyal lawyer and a careful secretary, as people concealing their own motives, which keeps the suspect list open.
