What Comes After Love is a six-episode Coupang Play romance starring Lee Se-young as Choi Hong and Kentaro Sakaguchi as Aoki Jungo, a Korean woman and a Japanese man who fall in love in Japan and meet again in Korea five years after breaking up. It ran from 27 September to 25 October 2024.

How it did outside Korea
Coupang Play said on 4 November 2024 that viewing in the series’ last week was 783 percent higher than in its first. Within two weeks of release it had reached number one on Rakuten Viki in 103 countries. It also topped the TV series chart on Amazon Prime Video in Japan and reached the top five on Viu in four countries, Thailand and Indonesia among them.

The series adapts a novel written jointly by the Korean author Gong Ji-young, whose books include Maundy Thursday, and the Japanese author Tsuji Hitonari, co-writer of Calmi Cuori Appassionati.
What Lee Se-young did next
She led MBC’s Motel California, which ran for twelve episodes from 10 January to 15 February 2025. She played Ji Kang-hee, a woman who grew up in a country motel, opposite Na In-woo.
