Spoiler warning: the following describes key moments from the ending.

• Episode 16: the family's head housekeeper, Joo, turns out to be the one who killed Han Ji-yong, striking him with a fire extinguisher while he was strangling Seo Hi-soo; the two men then fall down the stairs together.
• Episode 16: Seo Hi-soo admits she faked amnesia after her husband's death so that their son, Ha-jun, would never learn the truth about his father.
• Episode 16: Jung Seo-hyun is named chairwoman of Hyowon Group after her son gives up his position as heir to be with the person he loves.
• Episode 16: Seo-hyun reunites with her first love, tells her "I miss you," and later says the line that gives the drama its title, "Mine. It's mine," as she stops hiding who she is.
• Mid-series: Hi-soo confronts the parents of the boy who bullied her son at school, telling them, "You didn't touch Seo Hee-soo, you touched Ha-jun's mother."

The Hyowon family mansion, including its private art-gallery scenes, was filmed at Museum SAN, an art museum in Oak Valley, Wonju, Gangwon-do, designed by architect Tadao Ando.

Director Lee Na-jeong said she deliberately avoided showing wealth as "extravagant and flashy"; her team spent roughly four months researching how real upper-class households in Korea actually live, decorate, and dress, so the show's luxury would read as restrained rather than showy — a contrast she wanted against the two leads' own emotional emptiness.

Sculptures by artist Park Sang-soo were placed throughout the sets scene by scene, giving the production a "modern and refined" quality rather than overt opulence.

Director Lee Na-jeong described Mine as a female-centric story about identity and solidarity between two women who start out distrusting each other. She built the wealthy Hyowon household as a deliberately lavish backdrop specifically to "magnify the contrast" between the family's outward luxury and the emptiness and darkness the two lead women actually live with.

The series is also notable as one of the first mainstream Korean dramas to center a same-sex relationship among its main characters rather than treat it as a side plot.

• Kim Seo Hyung said reuniting on set with actress Kim Jung-hwa, who plays her character's first love, felt natural from their very first scene together, "as though they'd worked together for months."
