
Han Ji-min and Lee Je-hoon to Follow Kim Hye-soo as Hosts of the 45th Blue Dragon Film Awards
Han Ji-min and Lee Je-hoon have been confirmed as the new hosts for the 45th Blue Dragon Film Awards. The announcement was made by the awards committee on September 24th, confirming that the two prominent actors will lead the prestigious event on November 29th at KBS Hall in Seoul.
Both Han and Lee will take on the important role of celebrating and spotlighting the best of Korean cinema from the past year, continuing the legacy built by Kim Hye-soo, who had hosted the event for many years. They will honor outstanding films, directors, and actors in the industry.
Han Ji-min, who made her debut in 2003 with the drama All In, gained widespread recognition with roles in films like The Age of Shadows, Miss Baek—for which she won Best Actress at the 39th Blue Dragon Film Awards—and The Fatal Encounter. Reflecting on her new role, Han stated, “I deeply respect Kim Hye-soo for setting such a high standard and I’ll do my best to uphold the tradition and dignity of this event.”
Lee Je-hoon, who began his career in 2006 with the short film Truth, Litmus, earned acclaim after winning Best New Actor at the 32nd Blue Dragon Film Awards for Bleak Night. His versatility as an actor shines through films like The Front Line, Architecture 101, Anarchist from Colony, and I Can Speak. Lee commented, “I will put in my best effort to ensure this film festival remains a celebration of our filmmakers and continues the great tradition of the Blue Dragon Film Awards.”
The 45th Blue Dragon Film Awards will be broadcast live on KBS-2TV on November 29th.
